To a Better Understanding of Christmas

Each Gospel presents a unique picture of Jesus. When they wrote, the authors had a specific audience in mind. They rote to those people. With that in mind, please look at the following verses and draw a line to connect the verses with the description of Jesus. (If in a small group, divide up the verses to read.)

A. As the Son of GodI. Matthew 1:1, 2, 16; 2:1, 2; 4:117; 5:3; 6:9-13

A Christmas Carol

Angels from the realms of glory
Wing your flight o’er all the earth;
Ye who sang creation’s story,
Now proclaim Messiah’s birth:

Shepherds, in the fields abiding,
Watching o’er your flocks by night,
God with man is now residing,
Yonder shines the infant Light:

Magi, leave your contemplations,
Brighter visions beam afar;
Seek the great Desire of nations;
Ye have seen His natal star:

Chorus: Come and worship, Come and worship,
Worship Christ the new-born King.
